The YMCA of Greater Omaha is looking to hire member service representatives!

This position supports the work of Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Member Services Representatives deliver excellent service to all members, guests and program participants, engaging members by having a general knowledge of memberships and all Y programs and services.

Job Description:

  • Delivers exceptional service to members, guests, and program participants, enhancing member retention.
  • Conducts interviews and tours, addressing prospective members' needs and selling memberships.
  • Build relationships with members, fostering connections within the YMCA.
  • Resolves membership concerns and escalates unresolved issues to a supervisor.
  • Apply YMCA policies to ensure effective member service.
  • May distribute locker keys, locks, and towels, and monitor locker rooms as needed.
  • Actively participates in staff meetings and relevant training.

Qualifications:

  • At least 16 years old
  • *Bilingual pay differential may be available
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and customer service skills
  • Previous experience in customer service, sales, or related fields
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Ability to work independently with attention to detail
  • Complete YMCA cause & culture, membership training, and abuse prevention before first shift
  • Complete BLS CPR and First Aid training within 30 days (provided by YMCA)
  • Ability to relate to diverse groups and pass a background check
  • Follow youth boundaries policies and abuse risk management training
  • Report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and adhere to abuse reporting requirements
